#5  LOH BA KAO BAY

Loh Ba Kao Bay is one of my favorite hiking spots on the island, you can reach the bay in about an hour by walking over the Phi Phi Don viewpoint.

For those of you, who are less interested in fighting off wild monkeys and jungle bugs, just take a taxi boat, it will get you there in about 30 minutes.

The beach is stretched in front of Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort and there is a small village nearby where you can grab lunch and get stocked up on chilled beers. The whole place has a relaxed vibe and is even more laid back (how is that even possible?!) then the rest of the Phi Ph Island.

Long Beach

#4 LONG BEACH

Just 30 minutes walking or 5 min by taxi boat this is by far the best beach for swimming and snorkeling. The water here is much deeper than other shallow water bays on Phi Phi, which is great for all day swimming
and makes Long Beach an ideal place for a day on a beach.

Tip: 15 minutes walk over the hill from Long Beach, is another amazing beach, Loh Modee, a fantastic place for snorkeling during high tide.

Wang Long Bay

#3 WANG LONG BAY

Not many people know, but this secret bay has even more secret beach inside of its lagoon. Wang Long Bay is on the main island of Phi Phi Don but only accessible by a boat.

The narrow opening leads you to a beautiful lagoon surrounded by limestones cliffs and when the tide is low the most amazing little beach appears.
It is an amazing place and definitely, a must see if you come to Phi Phi. Swimming around here in the turquoise water, being surrounded by hundreds of little fish, it’s something magical.

Book a private boat trip to explore lagoons and beaches HERE.

Travel Tip: when staying in Phi Phi it’s always useful to be aware of the sea levels/tides, as some of the bays have shallow waters. You can check with locals or online on WorldTides.com

Bamboo Island

#2 BAMBOO ISLAND

Bamboo Island is a real dream beach for beach-lovers, it’s around 8km away from the main village of Phi Phi Don and the only way of getting there is by a boat.

This island is such a visual contrast to the other beaches and rock formations around Phi Phi as its completely flat. Every time I visit I fall in love again, the water surrounding the island is just unreal, crystal clear pools and white sand makes it a real tropical paradise.

The island is a part of a national park reservation, don’t forget to bring 400TBH.

#1 NUI BAY

This gorgeous small beach is located north-east on the main island of Phi Phi Don. Its a stunning stretch of white sand, surrounding with many limestone rock formations – including one of Phi Phi’s landmarks- Camel Rock, which pokes up from the sea right in front of the beach.

There is some awesome snorkeling on both side of the bay, and when the tide is low you can also explore the hidden cave.

To get here, you can rent a private boat, take a kayak, or hike through the jungle. The last option is only for keen hikers and for those with excellent orientation skills as they are no official signs in the jungle and you could get easily lost.
